INC Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) Workgroup Meeting at UC Davis

On behalf of the NEC Co-Chairs, Mickey Caplan and Jennifer Canvasser, thank you for contributing to the success of the International Neonatal Consortium’s NEC Workgroup meeting at UC – Davis on April 5, 2017.  For your information, the meeting slides can be found here.

Thanks to you all for participating in the recent NEC Workgroup meeting. After lots of rich discussion, we came to a consensus that supported the construction of a ‘white paper’ on NEC.  The group opined that it would be useful to devise a white paper in which many international thought leaders on NEC could contribute to recommendations for moving the field forward. 

Many of INC’s members also attended the NEC Symposium (April 5-7th, 2017) in Davis. An executive summary of that symposium is available here and the proceedings of the NEC Symposium will be featured in Seminars in Pediatric Surgery (February 2018 issue.)
