Peter Gottlieb
Peter Gottlieb, MD received his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1984. He then did his residency training in internal medicine University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He stayed at UMass for his clinical and research fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetes. Dr. Gottlieb moved to the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in 1994 and is currently Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine with tenure at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He has been involved in basic and clinical research involving the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. He is a member of the leadership group of Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet. Lastly, he is a co-founder of IM Therapeutics, Inc., a biotech company focused on the development of small molecules to prevent antigen presentation in autoimmune disease.
