C-Path and CDISC partnership delivers therapeutic area standards
Critical Path Institute and the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) have worked together since 2008 to develop therapeutic area data standards. In June 2012, C-Path, CDISC and TransCelerate BioPharma Inc. announced the formation of CFAST – the Coalition for Accelerating Standards and Therapies. CFAST is working with the FDA and NCI-EVS to develop additional CDISC therapeutic area data standards to support medical product development efforts. Through 2014, ten CDISC standards have been published (Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, CV Endpoints, diabetes, influenza, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, polycystic kidney disease, QT Studies and tuberculosis.)
